Today, year 5 children enjoyed their first day back in school.
To start the day we took part in a HIIT session with Miss Hayward. 💪🏻
Followed by this, we completed some mindfulness activities and then onto maths. ✖➗
After play, we started reading our new class novel ‘Cosmic it’s one giant leap for all boy-kind’ written by Frank Cottrell -Boyce. This is one of our Bookflix books and we will be focusing our writing around this in the Spring term. 📚
In the afternoon, we studied The Amazon Rainforest which links to our South America geography topic. We learnt about the different layers of the rainforest, the various types of plants, animals, birds and insects that live there. 🌴🐯🦁🌲🐒
A great first day back and it was lovely to all be back together! Well done Year 5! 🙂⭐
