Pirate Day

ICE POP FRIDAY!

The children in Year 1 have been working extremely hard and have had super attendance. To celebrate having wonderful attendance, Mrs Clarke treated Year 1 to ice pops. Keep up the super work and continue making Miss Morris proud!

World Book Day in Year 1

A few weeks ago, we celebrated World Book Day. The children visited the school library where they enjoyed reading books with their friends. We played charades in the classroom, where children had to act out and guess from our BOOKFLIX selection.

Toys from the Past

This half term, Year 1 have enjoyed learning all about toys from the past. The children experienced playing with these toys, children have interviewed elder members of their family and learnt lots of new information!

Reading Club

The children have really enjoyed reading club after school. We have explored lots of books in the library, have used laptops to access our EBooks and Enjoyed reading with friends.

Computing in Year 1

This term we have been learning how to program Bee-Bots. We have been predicting and planning their routes. We have developed new terminology such as algorithms and debug. The children have really enjoyed working with the Bee-Bots.
