Today, all of year 5 children took part in a workshop with the artists Fi and Jo from Cartwheel Arts preparing a flag bunting to be exhibited in Darnhill. Children included their trio of words that was printed out in different fonts and cut into strips. The words the children included represented what the wonder of community means for each of them (community includes school, family, friends as well as the wider community.) These words were then layered and mounted onto sticky back plastic. The children then added fringes to the bottom of their flag, extra colour and further decoration.

This bunting will then be sewn together and exhibited outside the shops and library on Monday 31st May, then inside the library building after this date.

Don’t forget to go down and have a look over the bank holiday weekend! πŸ™‚
