Today we took our Year 6 Sports Leaders on an end of year trip to the Chillfactore to say thank you for all their hard work over the year. Our sports leaders have been running sessions every dinner time for our KS1 and KS2 children. All the children have loved joining in with these sessions over dinner time and the leaders have shown so much confidence in organising, planning and delivering these sessions.
Our first activity this morning was the climbing wall, all the children challenged themselves to get to the top, they all encouraged one an other and gave it a great go. Even Mrs Wallsworth, Miss Hayward and Mr Cockcroft had a go.
For our next activity we braved the cold and went into the snow park, where everyone had lots of fun including Mrs Wallsworth and Miss Hayward. Snowball fights, snow angels, donuts, sledging and racing each other.
After dinner we had a skiing lesson, which the children really enjoyed and with a few falls we even managed to all try a jump too.
We are so proud of our Year 6 sports leaders they have been amazing all year round and really deserved this treat. Well done Sports Leaders.

A brilliant day! All of the Sports Leaders represented themselves and the school superbly! Thank you all for a lovely day, despite making me scale a giant climbing wall, go for an extra extra fast spin on the doughnuts and down the scary slide! 😀
