Year 5 Diet Coke and Mentos Science Experiment 🔬🧪

Today year 5 have been exploring chemical reactions between Mentos and Diet Coke. Firstly, we took the lid off the Diet Coke. Then, we carefully poured the Mentos into the funnel, which we made and placed that into the top of the bottle. Then we watched the fun happen! A chemical reaction occurred between the carbon dioxide in the Diet Coke and the Mentos. The Diet Coke and Mentos experiment was a blast (literally!) and we learned a lot about chemical reactions. It was so much fun!
