Year 3 visit Brockholes

Well what a wet and soggy day we had but we also had so much fun and learnt lots of things about the stone age.

We found out about the use of fire in the stone age and how they would have made fires using flint, sticks and dried grass.

We learnt about the houses they would have made in the middle stone age (Mesolithic) and made some of our own stone age houses.

We learnt about cave art images that were left behind and drew some of our own on rocks.

We went hunting in the woods for food. Aiming at animals was harder than we thought.

A great day. All well behaved. Well done Year 3.
