Year 3 Science – Parts of a plant

This half term we will be learning all about living things with a main focus on plants.

Today the children have been learning all about the different parts of a plant and the function of each part. We made some lift the flap books. Here is some of our work.

We then explored a little further and looked at the different parts of a flower (much more challenging) and the function again of each part. We dissected some lilies to see if we could identify each part of the flower.
