This week in art we have been learning all about prehistoric cave paintings and how the people of the stone age made their own paint. We went out into the environmental area to look for natural things that we could create paint from. We explored how rubbing then left a mark on the paper and how adding water made the colour mare visible. We then mixed flour and water together with a range of coloured spices to create our own earth tones.

We also explored positive and negative handprints that were used in cave art to make our whole class collaborative piece.
