This week Year 2 were fortunate enough to take part in a one off cricket lesson with a trained cricket coach. We started by playing some fun warm up games making sure to listen carefully to the coach’s commands..
We then practised our throwing and catching skills, learning to catch the ball with our hands open like a basket..
With a little help from our coach (and Mr Jacques) we had a go at batting. The children were positive throughout the lesson, demonstrating some excellent teamwork skills!
Finally, we enjoyed a competitive game of cricket! The class worked brilliantly to cheer each other on and it was a great team building lesson, well done Year 2!
