Jubilee Day in Year 6

Yesterday, to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee, Year 6 took part in a range of activities. To start the day, the children became party planners and had to plan a fake jubilee party using their maths skills to stick to a budget- it was much harder than it first looked! They then went on to create and present some fantastic presentations about life in the decades in which Queen Elizabeth has reigned. After a delicious picnic lunch, the children then spent the afternoon sketching portraits of the Queen- a great end to a fun day!
