Reading for pleasure

This afternoon we had a visit from Curtis’ mum who read Wobble Bear to the children. They loved joining in with the rhyme and asked lots of questions about why she enjoyed reading the book so much.

Today in Year 3 we held a book tasting event. The children worked around a range of tables, each with different genres on and explored the range of books. They really enjoyed looking at and reading the different styles of texts.

This morning, we had a visit from Linda (Milena’s neighbour) who read the story of Hansel and Gretal. We all really enjoyed listening to the story and answering the questions at the end. Thank you to Linda for coming in to our classroom and sharing such a lovely story and Read more…
