We have made our very own books this week, to celebrate book week! Some of us have written stories based on well known fairytales and some of us have made up our own stories! We have written our stories in the booklets we designed.

This afternoon, Years 3 and 4 joined together at a picnic to talk about thier favourite books. They took turns to read chapters and pages from their books to each other whilst enjoying the sunshine with a biscuit and juice.
This afternoon we had a visit from Curtis’ mum who read Wobble Bear to the children. They loved joining in with the rhyme and asked lots of questions about why she enjoyed reading the book so much.
Today in Year 3 we held a book tasting event. The children worked around a range of tables, each with different genres on and explored the range of books. They really enjoyed looking at and reading the different styles of texts.
