The children have been learning about Andy Warhol and looking at his artwork. We have been drawing portraits with different drawing media and then painted our faces in the style of Pop Art.
This week in Reception we have been reading the story Funny Bones! We have looked at lots of books all about bones and made our own skeletons! We have also been practicing our scissor control skills, making our own skeleton dogs!
In art this week Year 6 looked at the work of courtroom sketch artist Priscilla Coleman. They then used charcoal to produce their own sketches in her style- the results were amazing!
Today we have been using different media to draw self portraits. The children used pencils, pens, chalk and charcoal. They worked very hard and they were carefully looking at themselves in the mirror.

This week in Reception we have been learning all about Autumn! We have been on a leaf hunt outside and looked at all the different colours and shapes of the leaves! We have also enjoyed decorating our own squirrels, using the leaves that we found!

We have been learning all about Kenya and the children have made their own necklace in the style of traditional African jewellery.
The children have been working with clay this half term, practising different techniques and designing their own models. The final creations are amazing and the children worked so hard. Well done Year 2! The children are very excited to take their models home.
