Today in science club we have been celebrating British Science Week! We took part in 3 different experiments. We worked in teams and moved around the different tables, taking part in all of the experiments. We mixed colours together in a zip lock bag and we discovered that: red and yellow make orange, blue and yellow make green and red and white make pink! We wrote our names in the paint and made lots of patterns. We used the magnets to lift up the pipe cleaners, without using our fingers! We discovered that the metal in the pipe cleaner is attracted to the magnet, and that’s what makes it move! Finally, we moved the paper clip across the paper plate without using our fingers! The magnet and the paper clip attracted to eachother and moved the paint across the plate, making patterns. We have had lots of fun!
