Today Year 3 have been learning all about shadows. We explored how to create a shadow and also how to increase and decrease the size of shadow by the position of the torch. We then used this knowledge to create our own shadow puppet theatres. Well done Year 3.

This afternoon, Years 3 and 4 joined together at a picnic to talk about thier favourite books. They took turns to read chapters and pages from their books to each other whilst enjoying the sunshine with a biscuit and juice.
This afternoon we had a visit from Curtis’ mum who read Wobble Bear to the children. They loved joining in with the rhyme and asked lots of questions about why she enjoyed reading the book so much.
Today in Year 3 we held a book tasting event. The children worked around a range of tables, each with different genres on and explored the range of books. They really enjoyed looking at and reading the different styles of texts.
