Year 3 DT

Today we brought our design technology unit to an end by making our final design. Throughout the unit we have looked at seasonal food, imported foods and healthy foods in the run up to our final design. The children all designed a seasonal healthy tart which they made today. Yummy.

Year 3 science investigation

This week we have been investigating if the length of our bones affects how well we can do certain things. We wanted to find out if the length of the femur affected the distance of our jump. We made predictions,  discussed fair testing and drew conclusions from our experiment.

Year 3 are exploring the UK

This term in geography we are learning all about the UK. This week with have been learning all about the regions of England, in particularly the North West where we live. We have also been finding out about the counties in the North West, particularly Greater Manchester where we live. Read more…

Year 3 investigate friction

Today in science we have been investigating friction. The children planned an experiment to test the effect of friction on a toy car. We looked at the importance of a fair test, we made predictions and then we drew conclusions from our results.
