Today we held our Roman themed day with the help of historic workshops. A Roman soldier came to visit to tell the children all about life in Roman times. He began by introducing the children to the equipment and armour used by Roman soldiers before teaching them all about battle formations and how the Roman Empire spread.

We then went on an archeological dig to try to find out more about the past and life in Roman times from the items we found.

Later in the afternoon we learnt all about the Roman marching pack and then we played some Roman games (some were definitely tricky)
The children had a really fun day and learnt so much about our History topic that we will be studying over the Summer term.
