KS2 Cross Country

Today we entered the Heywood Schools KS2 Cross Country event at Newhouse Academy. The children raced in their year groups with Girls competing against each other and the boys against each other. Year 3&4 had to do 1 lap where as year 5&6 had to complete 2 laps. It was a very tough competition especially in the heat but all children ran amazingly and put 100% effort in. For some of our children this was also their first Cross Country Race for school. We had a mixture of results with a lot of our children placing in the top 5 and 2 children winning their race. Well done to all the children who took part, Miss Hayward, Mrs Fielding and Miss Burn are proud of you all.
